WHAT IT'S ABOUT

A Message From Tate:

Shooting a basketball has taken me all around the world and given me a chance to have an impact on people. My skill set is something that I have worked very hard on for a really long time and after reaping the benefits of that hard work, I am passionate about helping others do the exact same thing.

I had a teacher in High School tell me that "I know basketball is important to you but it won't take you places, your education will take you places" - I understood her point and I value my education very much! However, basketball has officially taken me all over the globe and the education I have received in the process is priceless.

That is the mission and the dream behind my camps. I want every camper to know that the dream you have and the goals you have are attainable, and they can take you places. Maybe those dreams are with a basketball, maybe they aren't. But no matter your dream is, you can live it out if you dedicate your time and effort towards that dream.

I have been more than fortunate to experience some great teaching and coaching during my time playing basketball and I think it's only fitting for me to give something back to the game that has given me so much.

People ask me all the time: "What is the best part about playing pro basketball?" and my answer has always been the same...

I love the opportunity I have and the platform I get to stand on to have an impact on people. Old, young, boys, girls, it doesn't matter. I am in a very unique position to have a big impact on people and I do not take that position lightly at all. That is the motive behind this camp, and thats why I'm so excited to do it every chance I get!
